The SDL is designed to provide a new generation of data services with cutting-edge methodology and technology, which will build a comprehensive research supporting platform with data, tools, methodology, workflows, cast studies and training programs for reproducible, replicable and expandable research in spatial data science. The SDL is facilitating the Future Data Lab (FDL) Affiliated Lab program to promote collaborative research using SDL products.<\/p><p>An affiliate lab should consist at least three core members, including the lead of the lab. The tasks of the affiliate lab may include:<\/p><p>\u2022 Collect and share the research data<\/p><p>\u2022 Participate in the development and test of Geospatial Analytics (Knime nodes) and case studies<\/p><p>\u2022 Participate in the development of new case studies (5-10 each year)<\/p><p>\u2022 Organize or participate in public webinars or training workshops (3-5 each year)<\/p><p>\u2022 Apply SDL technology and case studies to research and teaching<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>The FDL\/SDL will offer the follow support for the affiliate labs, including:<\/p><p>\u2022 Leadership and technical training<\/p><p>\u2022 Shared case study database<\/p><p>\u2022 Research data support<\/p><p>\u2022 Technical support<\/p><p>\u2022 Promotion of the achievements by the affiliate labs<\/p><p>\u2022 Reorganization of the achievements by the affiliate labs on the SDL website<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>The leading applicant should have a Ph.D. degree or are currently enrolled in a Ph.D. program. All applications need to be reviewed and approval.
