Up to November 2023, global users from 150 countries have downloaded all shared datasets on&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/dataverse.harvard.edu\/dataverse\/cdl_dataverse\">Harvard Dataverse<\/a>&nbsp;more than 1,800,000 times. The team has crafted various tools rooted in workflows, enabling users to easily tap into external datasets hosted on platforms like&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/dataverse.harvard.edu\/dataverse\/cdl_dataverse\">Harvard Dataverse<\/a>,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/orgs\/spatial-data-lab\/repositories\">GitHub<\/a>,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.chinageoexplorer.com\/cge\/\">China Geo-Explorer database<\/a>, and&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/hub.knime.com\/center%20for%20geographic%20analysis%20at%20harvard%20university\/spaces\/Geospatial%20Analytics%20Examples\/latest\/~ieq2yfgeQUshNTi-\/\">KNIME Hub<\/a>&nbsp;. Notably, besides existing noes on&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/hub.knime.com\/center%20for%20geographic%20analysis%20at%20harvard%20university\/extensions\/sdl.harvard.features.geospatial\/latest\/org.knime.python3.nodes.extension.ExtensionNodeSetFactory%24DynamicExtensionNodeFactory:506c168\">US Census data<\/a>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/hub.knime.com\/center%20for%20geographic%20analysis%20at%20harvard%20university\/extensions\/sdl.harvard.features.geospatial\/latest\/org.knime.python3.nodes.extension.ExtensionNodeSetFactory%24DynamicExtensionNodeFactory:f02434c4\">Open Street Map<\/a>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/spatial-data-lab\/knime-dataverse-extension\">Harvard Dataverse extension<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Featured COVID-19 Dataset<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/sdl.gis.harvard.edu\/sites\/g\/files\/omnuum8906\/files\/2025-03\/covid-harvard-dataverse.png\" alt=\"covid\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This project on COVID-19 Dataset&nbsp;aims to provide an information infrastructure for the spatial study of the new novel coronavirus (COVID-19), which was first reported in Wuhan, China and then were found in more than 60 countries and regions in the world. The objectives of this project are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>To provide data support for the spatial study of COVID-19 at local, regional and global levels with information collected and integrated from different sources.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To facilitate quantitative research on spatial spreading and impacts of COVID-19 with advanced methodology and technology.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To promote collaborative research on the spatial study of COVID-19 on the China Data Lab, Dataverse and WorldMap platforms.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To build research\u00a0capacity for future collaborative projects.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This project is a joint effort by scholars and professionals from the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/gis.harvard.edu\/\">Center for Geographical Analysis<\/a>&nbsp;at Harvard University,&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.lmars.whu.edu.cn\/gcss\/index.php\/en\">the Geo-Computation Center for Social Sciences<\/a>&nbsp;at Wuhan University, the&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/chinadatacenter.net\/\">China Data Institute<\/a>, the&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/futuredatalab.org\/\">Future Data Lab<\/a>, and the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.rmdslab.com\/\">RMDS Lab<\/a>. The project has received support from many other research institutions and companies on data, methodology, technology, and cloud platform.
