For a deeper understanding and broader applications, users are encouraged to refer to the main text with case studies implemented in ArcGIS Pro: \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.1201\/9781003292302\">Computational Methods and GIS Applications in Social Science, 3rd Edition<\/a>\u201d authored by Fahui Wang and Lingbo Liu. The workflows for the Lab Manual are available in the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/hub.knime.com\/-\/spaces\/-\/latest\/~xPVOJanfKir8RSjm\/\">Geospatial Space&nbsp;9<\/a>&nbsp;in the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/hub.knime.com\/\">KNIME Hub&nbsp;3<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The major addition in this release is the support for spatial clustering. In addition, this release adds several new solver nodes for location analysis. We have further improved the usability of several nodes by moving advanced settings into a foldable advanced section or hide settings that are not needed for the current situation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>This version requires KNIME Analytics Platform version 5.1.1 or later.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/sdl.gis.harvard.edu\/sites\/g\/files\/omnuum8906\/files\/styles\/hwp_1_1__720x720_scale\/public\/chinadatalab\/files\/knime_book.png?itok=aQGRHXfU\" alt=\"KNIME Workbook\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/spatial-data-lab\/knime-geospatial-extension\">GitHub Link for Geospatial Analytics Extension<\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This repository is the home of the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/hub.knime.com\/spatialdatalab\/extensions\/sdl.harvard.features.geospatial\/latest\">Geospatial Analytics Extension<\/a>&nbsp;for&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.knime.com\/knime-analytics-platform\">KNIME Analytics Platform<\/a>. The extension provides a set of nodes for spatial data analysis and visualization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The extension is developed by the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/gis.harvard.edu\/\">Center for Geographic Analysis<\/a>&nbsp;at&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.harvard.edu\/\">Harvard University<\/a>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.knime.com\/\">KNIME<\/a>&nbsp;as part of a two-year project of the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.stcenter.net\/\">Spatiotemporal Innovation Center<\/a>. The goal of the collaboration is to develop KNIME Analytics Platform extensions and best-practice workflows to provide a consistent and compatible platform for spatial data analysis across disciplines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The extension is mainly based on the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/geopandas.org\/\">GeoPandas<\/a>&nbsp;library and the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/pysal.org\/\">PySAL<\/a>&nbsp;library. The data types are defined in the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/knime\/knime-geospatial\">KNIME &#8211; Geospatial Data Types<\/a>&nbsp;extension.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Installation<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The extension can be installed via the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/hub.knime.com\/spatialdatalab\/extensions\/sdl.harvard.features.geospatial\/latest\">KNIME Hub<\/a>&nbsp;by dragging and doping or installed like any other KNIME extension via the KNIME Extension Manager.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you want to test the latest version you can follow the instructions in the Setup section of the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/spatial-data-lab\/knime-geospatial-extension\/blob\/main\/CONTRIBUTING.md#setup\">Contribution guide<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Usage<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/hub.knime.com\/center%20for%20geographic%20analysis%20at%20harvard%20university\/spaces\/Geospatial%20Analytics%20Examples\/latest\/~ieq2yfgeQUshNTi-\/\">Here are some examples of workflows<\/a>&nbsp;that use the extension.
